She was born in Singapore, and grew up multiculturally in the Southeast Asian region during her teens; she has lived on the Eastern seaboard of the U.S. and calls Singapore home.

Marilyn's characteristic feminine vocal qualities lend appeal to commercials and connect with listeners on corporate and business videos. She is the voice of lifestyle channel LI on Singtel's cable network MioTV.
