MARK
DAVIS
Mark was born in England
in 1961 and moved out to Australia in 1985. He spent 4 years
with Radio 3 RPH in Melbourne, Australia handling
news reading and presenting a 2-hour program, including the
selection of topics from the three major Melbourne newspapers
for the weekend news program “The Weekend Australian". This
program was divided in to two sections, Sport and News. Mark
moved to Singapore in late 2003.
He was the voice for the audio description weekly live simulcast of the Channel
9 Melbourne television program “Water Rats”. He also serialized
the book “The Feather Men” by Ranulph Fiennes for a Book
at Bedtime for RPH. This went to air in 26 episodes.
Well-known voice over
trainer Frank DePinna tutored Mark in the finer aspects
of voice performance in Melbourne, and stated that Mark's voice
was ideally suited for corporate
video work, instructional material and material that is pitched
at the higher level of the market – there are numerous
examples of his range in the sample section below. Mark's voice
is naturally British - clear, concise and educated without being
overly
so and there is no hint of dialect. His diction is precise and
accurate, and his accent could accurately be described as Mid-Atlantic.
He is certainly able to read French, although in actual French
conversation he admits he could do with some refreshing!
His recent clients
include MTV, Phillips, Michelin, The
Singapore Petroleum Company,
Temasek Holdings, Samsung and the British High Commission. |
